These error messages are generated by the APPLET in response to user actions or to situations that occur when the APPLET attempts to communicate with the server.

• Cannot exclude a liquid phase from the system!
• Can't find server host.
• Can't get i/o for connection to server.
• Contact with MELTS server lost.  Restart APPLET.
• Isenthalpic constraint option requires setting system enthalpy first.
• Isentropic constraint option requires setting system entropy first.
• Isochoric constraint option requires setting system volume first.
• Option not yet implemented!
• Print disallowed due to a security restriction!
• Printer access failed due to denial by user!
• Read from disk failed due to a security restriction!
• Read from disk failed due to denial of access by user!
• Security will not allow connection to server.
• Specified Pressure is not a number!
• Specified Temperature is not a number!
• Version number or majic number of stream invalid.
• Write to disk failed due to a security restriction!
• Write to disk failed due to denial of access by user!

These error messages are generated by the server and transmitted to the APPLET so that they may be displayed to the user.  All server error messages begin with the word "Failure."

• Failure. Add Liquid: Solid Exhausted. Repose Problem.
• Failure. Add Solid: Liquid Exhausted (1). Repose Problem.
• Failure. Add Solid: Liquid Exhausted (2). Repose Problem.
• Failure. Linear Search Truncation. Repose Problem.
• Failure. Linear Search Iterations Exceeded. Repose Problem.
• Failure. Phase Saturation Loop Exceeded. Repose Problem.
• Failure. Phase rule violation detected (add). Repose Problem.
• Failure. Phase rule violation detected (rank). Repose Problem.
• Failure. Quadratic Iterations Exceeded. Repose Problem.
• Failure.  T heading towards infinity in Find Liquidus.
